Unilin Group settles dispute with Canadian distributor of Yekalon products. |

Flooring Industries, the intellectual property company of the Unilin Group, has signed a settlement agreement with Multisol, a flooring importer and distributor based in Quebec, Canada.
The settlement foresees in a financial compensation for Multisol’s past imports and sales of alleged infringing flooring manufactured by Yekalon and in a covenant not to infringe the Unilin patent rights in the future.
Flooring Industries shall further take actions against the companies that continue to infringe the Unilin glueless patent portfolio. One patent infringement case has recently been filed in the Federal Court of Toronto. Flooring Industries has instructed its North-American legal advisors to do the necessary against the remaining importers and distributors that are doing business with alleged infringing products. |
