Solid wood goes glueless |

Flooring Industries, the intellectual property company of the Unilin Group, has developed a new locking mechanism for solid wooden floor panels. Unilin introduced the glueless locking technology into the flooring industry in the mid ‘90’s. Since then, “clic systems” quickly became the standard in laminate and engineered flooring panels. Solid flooring panels were however still mainly glued or nailed down because the traditional locking systems could not prevent creaking noises of most of the solid wood panels due to changes in temperature and humidity. The new developed system has now solved this problem. The profile has been designed in such a way that it can be manufactured on basic double-end tenoner machines to avoid substantial investments for the solid wood manufacturers. Flooring Industries will demonstrate the new profile to interested companies during the upcoming Domotex show in Hannover. Flooring Industries booth will be located in hall 7, nr. B 30 |
